shake, shake

Snuggling into my chest
She grabs my hair and is at rest
"Hi" she whispers
with smile so soft
this little girl i love the most

we rock a while,
wrapped in goosefeathers
hugging eachother
and softly singing Christmas carols

Off she goes, all by herself
Places toys up on a shelf
Feeds the baby
Drinks her juice
Zips up her sweater
And puts on her shoes

A secret smile from across the room
I wink, she giggles
The Game ensues
"Getchoo!" she cries already out of breath
I haven't even tickled her yet!

Sweetly she'll press her lips to mine
"A kiss" she says
"It's night-night time"

After nap we start again
We eat and then the games begin!
Play piano, read a book
Exactly how motherhood should look.

Better than I thought I would be
When she was forming inside of me
More fun than I ever imagined
More work than I counted on
More meaningful than so many things
More beautiful than anyone
So precious, so close, so loving
She, a gift God gave me

ooohhhh little cita bop! can't wait to see her again and sing her my "cita feet" song i sang to her last time....i will leave that as my other poem for you

"cita feet,
who ya gonna meet
when you're on the street
lookin so sweet
with your cita feet?"

but you have to sing this while tickling her feet.....

and she'll just like at you like you're a freak of nature, but the look is cute, so i cant help but sing the dumb song to her.

i can just see you walking around with a printed copy.. "now, where can i stick this?". sure you can tell richard. "come one, come all"

Glad you like them, amy too. It's good to know that other people like them. It's always awkward when people say, "huh?"
